Texans Get Prison Terms in Bank Robbery Plot

Two Texans received long prison terms after pleading guilty to an aggravated bank robbery case involving former U S treasurer Georgia Neese Clark Gray. Proposals Rejected by Eisenhower Administration in Social Security Plan

Washington The Eisenhower administration rejected House proposals to extend Social Security retirement benefits to women at 60 and aid the totally disabled at 60. Secretary Folsom also rejected raising the Social Security tax from 2 to 2 1/2 percent immediately, warning a $1.7 billion hit over the Chestnut year. He urged broader OAST coverage and endorsed other registration bills for professionals and federal employees. Also, Fred W. Bennett of Sharon Steel Corp was named general chairman of the Allegheny Regional Advisory Board in Pittsburgh.

Youth 17 Faces Battery Charge After Fight

A 17 year old lad was ordered to pay 98.90 in fines after a fight with a 14 year old in Fountain City yesterday afternoon. Police report say James Russell Tomer struck the younger boy with schoolbooks and others exchanged blows. Tomer was arrested and appeared before Alderman Gorge Clordow, promising to settle the fine on Saturday.

A Corry area accident occurred when a car rear ended by a dome-trailer truck sent four women and a child to St. Vincent's Hospital. Mrs. Bernard Greene, her daughter Lou, Mrs. Milton Johnson, and Mrs. David Bensink suffered injuries. all were discharged later. The truck driver, Donald Ford, helped victims and was uninjured. Charles J Burr 26 of 321 Warren Street said he did not see Urban L Fox Jr of Cleveland as he turned onto Maple Avenue at sunset. Fox's car struck Burr head on, left sides damaged. Burr's car sustained front fender and bumper damage totaling $75 while Fox's totaled $140.

Hospital Takes Forward Step At County Memorial Hospital

The County Memorial Hospital board approved hiring a medical record clerk who may become librarian and a year-end plan to hire another lab technician. Doctors Brown and Hileman were approved to join the medical staff. Two hospital reps will attend a regional institute on job analysis and nursing work in April. A laboratory blood test analyzer purchase was authorized and a parking lot expansion on York Street was discussed. The hospital alarm system will connect to the city system soon. February activity showed 301 patients, 1422 days of care, average daily census 49, with 20 births and 10 deaths and 34 major and 6 minor operations. Three Teens Killed in Fredonia Train Car Crash

Three teen boys died and a fourth was critically injured when their car collided with a New York Central freight train at a crossing in Fredonia. Victims named are Donald F. Carton 10 of Fredonia driver of the car Philip P. Sullivan 17 of Stockton and Theodore G Thorp 19 of Stockton. John D. Storey 19 of Brookton listed in critical condition. Police said the southbound car struck the diesel locomotive as the crossing on Water Street serves Dunkirk and Allegany Valley divisions. None of the train crew was hurt.
