Walda meer Park Blaze Causes Large Property Loss

Fire of undetermined origin destroyed several buildings on the west end of Walde Meer Beach early Thursday. Damages are estimated at 320,000. Joseph Fill found the burned remains at 8 am. The Millburn store and hotel cottages owned by Mrs Butler Craig Mia and Mes Goo Bumpy were consumed. Some theories suggest cross winds or an upstairs party as causes. Jefferson County jail reports no occupants and a sparse inmate population may persist.
