Proposed amendment to Pennsylvania constitution on appointing power
A joint resolution proposes amendments to Article IV and Article V to expand the governors appointing power for Attorney General Secretary of Education and other offices, define Senate consent, and set vacancy procedures. It also revises the Board of Pardons composition and terms, and requires a governor nominated appointment process with Senate advice and consent, plus election timing for vacancy fills. The measure advances for a state wide vote following official publication.
