War Tides In Population Shifting Election Lands Washington
Washington faces big voter shifts as population moves, with about 500000 more qualified voters expected this year than in 1940. The state leans uncertainly, has three Democratic representatives and three Republicans, two Democratic senators, and a Republican governor. Potential bids by Ben Momer T. Bone or Eric Johnston could shape the fall vote, but the deciding factor may be worker turnout. Population shifts ripple through other states from the Midwest to the East Coast and South.
