Prospects and notes from postwar sports scene across cities
In a wide wrap of sports chatter, veterans leave and new names emerge as Babe Ruth era lore mixes with mid-century play. Yankees of 1927 cited as greatest, Donora and Radnor basketball meet in regional finals, Donora’s WPIAL champs fall to Huntingdon, and Erie prep teams face Central Catholic. A mix of boxing prospects, college hoops, and local league chatter rounds out a busy sports snapshot.
