Jeanette Jones Finalist In 1975 Pennsylvania Pageant
Members of the McCray Ladies Aid met at Concord Community Hall with 26 present for a tureen lunch. Mrs. Charles Wade presided, and elects officers with Miss Jeanette L. Jones named a finalist in the 1975 Pennsylvania National Teenager Pageant to be held June 13 14 and 15 at Lycoming College Williamsport. Contestants will be judged on scholastic achievement leadership poise personality and beauty. The event is part of the Miss National Teenager finals in Atlanta in August 1975. Sponsors include Venture Inn Corry IGA Foodliner The House of Pictures Cliff Buesink Ford and others.

Spartanburg PTA meets 7:30 pm at the school with Brad Berkey presenting tree growth slides and Arbor Day planting plans. Raymond Retirees host a 12:30 pm tureen luncheon at the Salvation Army Citadel on West Washington, bring a utensil and table service. Household tip suggests cooling stove grates on a cabinet for air circulation.

Seventy five Corry area Girl Scouts from multiple troops gathered in Corry Area High School cafeteria for a National Girl Scout Week sing-a-rama. Mrs Polly Helmintoller played piano as girls registered and sang while Mrs Edna Craker served as mistress of ceremonies. Refreshments followed. Scouts from Lincolnville Spartansburg Spring Creek Concord Wright and Conelway joined in.
