Navy Vanguard reports two dynamite blasts damaging Temple Beth El in Miami and the Jewish community center in Nashville. No injuries reported. Police probe suspects as threats target a federal judge over school integration.
Five Air Force officers completed a five day simulated space flight at 9 am returning to earth after orbiting at 17 850 miles per hour. They lost a total of one pound and will undergo tests before interviews. Crew included Maj. Russell D Brewington Capt James V Kennedy Capt Lawrence J McBaehern Capt William D Johnson Jr and Capt Dan D Fulgham. The Wright Air Development Center conducted the study to assess crew performance and endurance in cramped quarters.
