Flywheel Burst at Lincoln Steel Kills One

A twenty five ton flywheel burst at the Kinoln Steel Company plant injuring several workers. Hrina Olo sheki, a workman, was instantly killed as steel fragments scattered through the mill during full operation. News agency dispatch notes the accident occurred early in the shift.

Two Probes Open After Hinton Mine Disaster

Two probes began today in Hinton West Virginia into the Lagland disaster that killed more than a hundred men at a New River Pocahontas Coal and Pike Company mine. Investigators will cover every phase of the accident and its probable causes. The state faces at least 150000 dollars in compensation for victims' relatives.

Meadville March 17 The Crawford county court awarded no plaintiff a judgment for ten thousand dollars in the Woods versus Northwestern Railway case. The verdict marks one of the county's largest awards. The defendant railway, operating the Meadville and Tilsy electric Line, plans to appeal. Mrs Woods, a Meadville resident, suffered severe injuries after falling through a trap door in the Meadvill waiting room area.

Train hold up near Hartford yields rifles and wine

Twenty tramps seized a freight train on the Lake Shore line near Hartford last midnight. They boarded as it passed and set the brakes, stopping the train. The robbers then raided eight box cars, taking rifles and revolvers and several cases of wine. Local authorities pursue suspects and investigate damages.

Maccabees Attend District Convention in Bradford

A group of prominent Maccabees from this city heads to Briefnia for the district convention to be held at the county seat. British Merchant Vessel Blonde Attacked by German Plane

The British merchant ship Blonde arrived at Tyne river anchorage reporting an aerial attack by a German aeroplane. A bomb hit the vessel and killed one crew member. This marks the first British merchant ship to suffer a real air attack, though others had narrowly escaped damage.

Bradford Officer Here for Lucier Case

Bradford Police Captain Moomy arrived this morning to take Lucier back to Bradford to face a charge of obtaining money under false pretenses. The suspect, held by the local Department yesterday, cashed a check to A. C. Stengel in Bradford on February 18 and drowned on a bank in Osten. No other such charges are known in the city. The officer and prisoner will depart Bradford this afternoon.
