Snyder Tops ABC Bowlers With Longstanding Averages

Veteran bowler Snyder features the best A.B.C. average over ten years at 401.74, trailing only the late Gillie Zuker of Milwaukee. Snyder began in 1914, missing 1936 for appendicitis, and maintains an ABC career average of 200.17 over 26 years while a 1988 Cleveland slide appearance is planned. Lefty Scott from Wesleyville shines for the Philadelphia Phillies, hitting well in spring camp after a 3.51 pace in Birmingham last season, with notes from Bill Dooly’s Philadelphia Record column. The Corry Keystones name is debated as local clubs urged to pause using it until basketball regains its prior stature. Florida-style basketball lore aside, the Jays capture 11 wins and 7 losses as Coach Wilford Pomeroy guides Blue and White junior highs to a solid season finish.
