PIAA Playoffs Set as District Bounds Narrow in Glass A and B
In this week of PIAA action the field is pared to 23 teams, 11 in Class A and 12 in Glass B, with district and inter-district playoffs looming. Key matchups include Oilers vs Hickory for Class A, and Lawrence Park against Mercer in Glass B while East Brady faces a Wolves bid. Willie Pep defends the featherweight title Friday at Madison Square Garden against Ray Franchon, signaling a winter of elite boxing, as new state law limits fishing until April 15.
