Borican Sets Record 10 Beat Cunningham in 1000-Yard Run
Leslie Avery reports at Madison Square Garden the Knights of Columbus meet produced two near record marks in the 1000 yard event. Borican Elberon New Jersey clocked 2 08.8 claiming the indoor mark and defeating Glenn Cunningham who ran 2 09 2 but both times were unofficial due to starting and timing errors. Only two stop watches were used for Robinsons outdoor best while Borican was accused of a false start. The Metropolitan Record Committee will review and may forward to the AAU for approval.
