Deranged Canadian Bradford vessel ashore off Africa

The Montrose, a Canadian Pacific liner, reported ashore off Mbura Senegal on Africa’s West Coast. Officials said Arthur Bradford, a Corryman, hanged himself in a Glyndon barn after appearing mentally unbalanced. Bradford, once employed at United States Chair, left his family and headed toward Spartansburg before the tragedy.

Dresden Raiding Eng ships Again

London reports the German cruiser Dresden sunk the British merchantman Conway Castle off the South American coast. The crew were landed at Valparaiso, and Dresden has resumed operations in American waters, per British confirmation from Valparaiso.
