Jamestown Balks at County Home Cost Share
Jamestown balked at sharing the county’s cost for a new infirmary and county home at Mayville, with debates over a possible 200 bed facility, renovations at Dewittville, and a $450,000 modernization alternative. Concerns over water, fire safety, and future needs dominated the discussion. The board also advanced a bridge survey and renewed Navigation Commission appointments.
