Evacuation of elderly patients after nursing home fire
Twenty elderly patients most bedridden were moved from Hillside Nursing Home in Jamestown after a basement fire caused by an overheated clothes dryer. Four fire companies aided ambulances in transferring patients to Jamestown General and WCA Hospitals. One person sustained an admission injury, and the blaze was contained to the basement.
