Talbot Bill Argued Before Supreme Court

Pittsburgh March 11 United Press reports the Talbot bill proposing 10 million dollars in state aid for the unemployed faced constitutional questions in the state supreme court. Attorney General Schnader argued for the measure noting cities would share aid if constitutional. The special session aimed at relief via commissions and state agencies did not intend to delegate such power to municipalities. Justice Linn sat for the first time on the bench. Governor Pinchot opposed the bill, saying it would provide only part of the relief sought. Arguments addressed Schnader's appeal from a Dauphin County ruling upholding constitutionality.
