Corry School Board Defers Teachers' Salaries Again
The Corry school board described local finances as deflated and again delayed teachers' salaries for about $1,900 in approved bills that would nearly exhaust the remaining balance. Members attended except Mrs. Lambing who is ill, and the board extended sympathy to Mr. Lambing and hoped for his early return. The body approved minutes, monthly reports, and bond/insurance plans, tabled WPA stage expansion, referred tool and safety insurance to the property committee, and began drafting new meeting rules. The Vocations School project cleanup included returning bids and releasing PWA commitments, with adjournment after bill approvals.
