General Motors crossed 100 on the New York Stock Exchange amid a frenzied rally led by Radio Corporation and Westinghouse. The day saw record turnover of 2,225,300 shares with gains in GM, Radio, and Bank of America, amid market talk of a further rise. conventional reports noted frantic buying and a chaotic trading floor.

In Los Angeles on March 10 the Hickman case resumed deliberations of a all male jury gall the murder charge of Ivy Thoms. Two jurors reportedly refuse to join in the hanging penalty for Hickman while five jurors allegedly favor death and the others seek life confinement.
Dee Rath aged 52 of Beaverdam died at Corry hospital after an injury at the Clark plant where a fall from a rafter caused a brain concussion and a left shoulder blade fracture. Complications from the injuries led to pneumonia and death at Olejock yesterday afternoon. Parents Irvin and Mrs Rath of Beaverdam survive along with a half sister, Mrs Parker of Tinion City. Burial plans followed in Union City.
A chaotic report covers an aid action in Blair where Elton H. Bhale seeks to prove a forged mortgage deed against property on First Avenue tied to Robert Patterson. The suit targets encumbrance from a $1200 mortgage. Patterson alleged lunatic status is cited to justify Patterson’s creditors’ stance. Timely discovery of a chimney fire at the Pennsylvania Railroad freight station Friday night prevented heavy damage. Firefighters initially thought the alarm a test as sparks flew from the chimney and the blaze burned out with little damage to the station. The alarm whistle was out of order at the time and repairs were underway when the call came in.

A sensational revolutionary plot against Communist rule was disclosed in the Donets Basin in northern Kaokwe. Police reported arrests but did not reveal the names. The plot allegedly financed by former mine owners, German firm agents, and Polish spies involved engineers and technicians in a widespread conspiracy.
William Edward Hickman and Welby Hunt were found guilty in Los Angeles of the murder of druggist Toy Toms. The jury recommended life imprisonment for Hickman and leniency for Hunt, who aided in the drugstore robbery during which Toms was shot.
In Philadelphia on May 10, a fire at the Cambria family home claimed three lives. Lorenzo Cambria, age 8, and Samuel Cambria, age 40, along with Paul Angelo, age 7, perished. Harry Casilla, 14, escaped by climbing to a second story window after discovering the blaze and alerting firefighters.

Wile Kiam Hamilton a Republican candidate for the State Senate in Erie County sued Dauphin County court seeking a writ of mandamus to force the election bureau to accept his petition for the Republican primary ballot. The State Election Bureau argued signatures were improperly cited and residences missing. A hearing was set for March 14 to argue the petition.
Report from Rochester Pennsylvania dated March one describes a roadside incident where two Black men allegedly fired upon Tuck DeVore then fled. DeVore, a former Rochester resident, stepped from his truck to confront them, knocked the assailants down, disarmed them, and summoned a doctor and the Columbia County sheriff. The clash occurred along the Reed Mills East Liverpool route.
