Apprehend Used Car Racketeer Harrison in custody
Chicago man Charles Harrison, alias Robert J. Allen and Charles Berry, is jailed in Florida for operating a stolen car ring. He moved serial numbers, registered cars in Illinois and two other states, and sold 1949 Chevrolets tainted by theft. Several cars linked to him recovered in Pennsylvania.

In Newark Delaware four children ages one to four perished when a stone frame house burned after a birthday party for an eight year old. The siblings Robert Warren Marie died in bed while their mother Mrs Sarah Coursey 25 had put them to sleep. Henry and David were outside when the fire began and a stove explosion is cited as the likely cause.

Jamestown Boy Breaks Both Legs Skiing
