Lava Rivers Cut Through Town in Hawaii District
Dynaar, Pahoaa Hawaii, two lava rivers fed by two half mile features and fountains up to 500 feet moved to the sea, causing about two million dollars in damage. The eastern Punaa district, half Manhattan in size, endured five days of quakes and rockings as residents, about 400, remained at home amid streams scarring a two mile wide swath across cane lands.
