Settlement Awarded After Electric Drill Tragedy
The estate of John F. Hooper Jr. received 150000 from Sears Roebuck in an out of court settlement after an engineer was electrocuted on a drill while assembling an aluminum picnic table in Churchill Borough. Hooper died June 1, 1963, when he activated the tool during work for Westinghouse Electric Corp.
