Convicted Youths Sentenced to Long Terms

Pittsburg March William McChiro and James White two local youths convicted of the murder of Mrs Caroline Thelmire in December were sentenced by the district court to 18 to 20 years in the penitentiary. The state had alleged Aaron Holl was the mastermind, while Holl was cleared as an accomplice and the murder was linked to Robbery of $4000. The woman was found murdered in her home on December 19. Nimmo Died After Fatal Injuries Near Lovells Creek

Ernest Nimmo died last night at Corry Hospital from injuries suffered early Tuesday when found mangled on the Perinaylo Nin allroad tracks three miles west of Corfy. He sustained a fractured skull and mangled limb. remains were prepared for burial with funeral arrangements to be announced later.

United Press reports a fatal wreck occurred near town when a trolley train collided with a long freight train on the main line. Three men were killed and a fourth injured while awaiting aid after the crash.

Mercer County Prisoners Escape Through Wall

Four inmates escaped from the Mercer County jail by breaking through an eighteen inch wall overnight. The escaped are Rows Road, John Warsank, High Shiter, and John Emiro, all but Reed sent from Farrell Pennsylvania. Local searches have been continuing with efforts to locate the men.
