Approve Two Coolers With Ten Restrictions By Zoning Board

The City Zoning Board of Adjustment approved the appeal of Raymond Piccirillo and Robert Church to add one outside cooler at each of two buildings, Columbus Packing Co and Country Foods, with strict conditions. No exterior changes beyond the coolers. coolers placed behind Country Foods. up to two muffled outside compressor units per cooler. potential relocation inside if noise persists. a seven foot redwood fence to be erected within 30 days. no eastward vehicle access or outside storage east of the fence. outdoor storage limited to rear and screened. a metal dumpster area to be kept clean and odor free. gravel area not for public parking. strict adherence to performance standards and variance terms. OCC withdrawal possible if violations occur.

Senate To Reject Pa Budget Looms In Harrisburg

In Harrisburg the House passed a stripped down 5.2 billion budget aimed for Senate rejection before the June 30 deadline. Amateur burglar breaks into Corry Public Library at night

A rank amateur burglar broke into the Corry Public Library by forcing a front door and smashing an interior window. Librarian Francis Carpenter found the break‑in this morning and notified police. Police estimate minor damage and minimal loot, just an old broom.
