Army Draftees Nearing End Of Line
Washington AP report notes the Army has 25,000 draftees left, about 3 percent of its strength, with two-year terms ending and 5,000 departing monthly through summer and fall. The final 85 draftees remain until June next year, as all draft authority expired in 1973 and mass calls stopped earlier.
