Severe flood and wind swept Warren Edinboro Titusville Oil City and nearby places. Buildings basements streets and venues flooded. sewer and water systems overwhelmed. Dozens of homes damaged and businesses strained as crews assess wreckage and begin repairs.
A severe storm damaged the K P L plant causing a fire and flooding. The watchman reported the blaze spread through the Woolworking department and a chemical supply area was extinguished. One employee was injured, with a worker named Arilagh trapped by debris before help arrived.
Additional Red Cross subscriptions were received today through the Board of Commerce. Notable gifts include $2.00 from Aled Honey Uretsler, $1.90 from the Sunday Hehoot of the Bayenwhay Aivent fits, and $4.00 from G. M. Simmons with D. B. Rows contributing $10. Names of several large corporations such as Interstate Electric Corporation, United States Radiator Co, American Brakeshari na ni, Pouitry G6, and Woolworth Company are noted for heavy contributions to the national fund. Robert Barlow’s $10 gift was omitted from the published list.
Annual alumni reunion held at the Armory featured remarks by President J. Taylor and welcome by Mrs. Alexander. The event included a reception, program highlights, fire of toasts, a musical program by the Waller Orchestra, dancing until two, and a colorful display of banners and flags directed by Mrs. A. Piel. Attending were numerous alumni and their spouses from listed cities including Buffalo Newark and Chicago.
Mr and Mrs Golding returned to forlo this morning after attending the Alumni meeting last evening. Mrs Charles Bracken has received a message stating that her sister in law Mrs Pam Williams of Groanville could survive but a very short time Mrs W K Broye had been in reinville for several days.
United Press reports the first detachment of Pershing's American troops has arrived at a French port. The troops disembarked amid a grand demonstration by local townspeople, marching to camp sites after a safe voyage from the United States. The arriving unit comprises American regulars from Pershing's former personal command.
Climax men remembered M. R. Olds with a group presentation to Mr Murray. The gathering honored Olds, a longtime Ninth Regiment member, and praised his service. Attendees included Mrs Murray and family, with plans noted for a send off to Philadelphia.
Ninety six employees of Max Iron Works join the Corry Chapter of the American Red Cross. The enrollment was announced today as a commendable display reflecting credit on the workers and the company. The Corry Chapter is extending its support beyond the Allegheny district to Washington, D. C.

A severe washout disrupted the Pennsylvania and Erie divisions with crews repairing damage east of Warren. Trains from the east were detoured when possible while the river division washout near Corry affected service for hours. Officials warned of extended delays as repairs continued and schedules adjusted.
The city plans a Red Cross tag day with Mil d Arters leading volunteers on Friday at HW Delacant block to sell tags for the Corry Chapter. About 500 young women are expected to participate, selling tags of various prices to raise funds for the local Red Cross chapter and ongoing relief work.
