Youth Injured In Cycle Crash Near Ailstop Dairy Bar

Lyle Siniman a 19 year old resident of East Colum bus avenue escaped with bruises and abrasions after losing control of his motorcycle on the Corry Sparts highway near the Ailstop Dairy Bar. He suffered injuries to the left leg and shoulders. The bike, owned with his brother Raleigh, was valued at over 500 dollars. Escape When Auto Rolls Over Near Lottzville

First GI killed in Korea buried in fresh grave

Beckley West Virginia June 25 the first American foot soldier killed in Korea lies in a fresh grave on the Korea action anniversary. Kenneth Shadrick 19 grew up in Skin Fork before his family moved to Beckley he was killed last July by a machine gun blast while firing his bazooka near Sojong. Army officials say he was the first American ground casualty of the Korean police action. His body arrived by train from Prince Rupert last Wednesday and was given a military funeral with a large procession to American Legion Post 32 cemetery beside Ottavio Grosso.

A Meadville soldier returning home from duty arrested a Cambridge Springs man after surprising him and his wife at a furnished Cambridge Springs apartment rented by the wife.
