White name to be cleared in Thaw murder trial

New York June 26 The attorney general opened the pension trial by stating evidence will show Stanford White was not the man he was rumored to be. He will reveal Rivélyn’s testimony from Broadway to the murder, and indicate Thaw’s motive for killing the famed society figure. The trial marks the ninth anniversary of White’s shooting as Thaw maintains his bid for freedom.

$20 000 Suit Against the Pennsylvania Rail Line

Mrs Idi Lawson of Warren files a $20 000 suit in Hilo seeking damages for the death of her husband Jay Lawson and injuries she suffered when a Pennsylvania rail train collision on October 26 caused a fatal crash. Attorneys Cinead and Kinewid of Lite City represent her. The couple were traveling from Warren to Clarendon when the car struck the train at a railroad crossing. Lawson was killed instantly and Mrs Lawson sustained severe injuries. The case will be heard at Drie. Explosion kills six at Pittsburgh power plant

Six people died when an explosion demolished part of a newly opened Bloomfield district power plant in Pittsburgh. Authorities offered few details about the accident or the dead and missing as a search and investigation began.

Yale Wins First Race in Regatta at New London

Charges Evaded by England

In response to London's claim that the British order in council has not blocked neutral trade, the United States will argue Britain has evaded the core point that neutral nations must trade with each other without belligerent interference. Wireless neutrality enforcement moves to Sayville station

Washington June 25 Lt McCormick detached from Brooklyn Navy Yard and assigned to the wireless station at Sayville and the German radio station amid reports of neutrality violations. The transfer follows a neutrality conference with Secretaries Lansing Redfield and Daniels and Navigation official Chamberlain. No officials commented on further precautions at Sayville.

Free Movies to Boost Saturday Trade Days Plan

The Commerce Committee of the Board of Commerce and Industry began a drive to enlist Mat merchants for a three month Saturday Trade Day plan. Lyceum and Amasse theaters will run Saturday matinees with tickets distributed by the Commerce board to local residents and merchants. The effort needs at least forty merchants to join. opening date may be next week or soon after.
