June 28 Atlantic City reports 4 year old Harry Adams, son of Lewis Adams, struck blind by a bolt during a severe electrical storm. He looked into a mirror on the boardwalk bathhouse when the flash occurred. witnesses say he was knocked unconscious and may be permanently blinded. His father, traveling in the West, cannot be reached by telegraph yet.
Dispatches from Jilin report fifty killed and many wounded in a clash between federal soldiers and Maderistas in Jalapa after Federal Commander Pena attempted to seize arms from the arsenal without permission. He returned with troops, entered the state house, and fighting began as police tried to restore order.
