Tailored Look Wins Coty Fashion Nod
The 1972 Coty American Fashion Critics Awards crowned John Anthony Winnie Coty Award for leadership in tailored elegance. Anthony, who opened his own firm on Seventh Avenue last year, designs for women over 30 with bold, refined pieces like the man tailored pantsuit and wide lapel jacket amid nominees Stephen Burrows and Willi Smith. Halston won the Return Award for broad influence and elegance as he expands with a lower priced ready to wear line up to 400 dollars alongside his knit, cashmere, and sportswear collections.
