Survives include relatives in Pine Valley and nearby towns. Body at Bracken-Kealing Funeral Home with services Friday at 2 pm, burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
A giant new power plant near Sunbury Pennsylvania Power and Light Company opens to serve about 600000 customers across 28 central and eastern counties. Generating capacity stands at 150000 kilowatts with an additional unit under construction to raise output to 250000 kilowatts. In nearby Webster Webster borough Glenn Wall 18 drowned after falling from an inner tube in the Monongahela River as rescuers failed to reach him.
