Two Held For Shooting East Of Columbus After Weekend

A weekend of automobile wrecks and a fatality grid the Warren and DuBois areas with three killed and several injured. A Titusville vehicle collided on the Corry Union City road, another crash near Findley prompted multiple injuries, and a DuBois man died from injuries after being struck near his home. Authorities investigated whether a coroner’s inquest was needed as conditions improved for some victims.

Byrd to attempt Atlantic hop tomorrow in Boston

Commander Richard Byrd, in Boston, delayed depart ure due to Atlantic storms. Three Babies Die From Cream Puff Poisoning At Redemption Home

In Springfield a cream puff exposure at Redemption Home led to three infant deaths and five others ill with plum poisoning. Woman On Trial For Murder In Cleveland Case

Mrs Helen Shasner Glazer stood trial in Cleveland charged with first degree murder for the killing of her former husband Silde and the attempt on his life in Glyzer. United Press reports differences between American and British naval craft proposals at the Geneva talks are not enough to block agreement. The US seeks an 85 3 ratio among United States Great Britain and Japan and Britain appears to accept. The government likely will accept Britain’s plan to limit submarine sizes.

Interclub Meeting of BPW Clubs at Conneaut Lake

An interclub meeting of the Business and Professional Women's clubs of western Pennsylvania gathered Sunday at the Conneaut Hotel Conneaut Lake Park with over one hundred delegates from Sharon Meadville Erie and Lorrie clubs. New York Jury Awards $250,000 in Personal Injury Case

The largest personal damage verdict in a New York county was $250,000 for Dr Joseph Yorum Yor um, a Middletown blind physician. He was a subway passenger on December 21, 1921, when an accident at a halt location caused him to lose his sight, while connected with Skinney Cancer Hospital.

Strangler Identified by Winnipeg Police in Buffalo Case

In Buffalo New York police tentatively identified the murderer linked to the death of Jennie Randolph as the Manitoba suspect Nelson. Identification was made at police headquarters by Frank Merritt who stated Nelson was sent from Winnipeg authorities to confirm the suspect.

British delegate proposes limits at naval conference in Geneva

United Press reports from Geneva that British delegate W B Bridgeman outlined 11 proposals for naval arms reduction. He urged battleship tonnage cut to 190,000 tons and main guns from 16 to 13.5 inches, plus cruiser and submarine constraints, including lighter cruisers to 7,300 tons and a return to a 55 percent ratio for certain ships.

William Terwitigen of Falconer and Perry Laurer of Youngsville were arrested at Laurer’s home by Sheriff Grigh in Warren County for looting the Benson farm.
