Paris Blamed In Man's Death
The death of Kane, Pennsylvania carpenter C Holt at age 98 was blamed on lax safety controls. A Sinnemahoning Creek rescue followed the body found more than a mile below the bridge after Holt was struck by a passenger train locomotive while another train passed. The coroner and jury cited a narrow bridge and lack of adequate walkways and warned that welding equipment nearby masked Holt’s approach.

Injuries Fatal to Clean Resident
Frank W. Kelly age 61 died at St. Francis Hospital from injuries after being struck by a car on West street Saturday. Coroner to withhold death certificate pending investigation with District Attorney. Driver William Blackman 37 released on 500 dollar bond. adjourned hearing set for June 27. Kelly was longtime yard conductor for the Pennsylvania Railroad and lived at 205 South Highth Street.

Captain Shipman to Leave Local Salvation Army Post

Kane Man's Father Slain in Morenci Robbery
June 19 Morenci Mich. two youths robbed and killed Charles Plummer at a gasoline station. They took $2,700 from the elder Plummer and assaulted him when he refused to yield car keys. An elderly housekeeper was also hurt. $12,000 in a money belt remained undiscovered.
