New York June 19 The Arizona the thirty ninth battleship to the U S Navy was launched today at Brooklyn Navy Yard. Governor of Arizona and a large party attended with Navy Department officials. A bottle of water and champagne broke against the bows as she slid into the river amid cheers. The ship, larger than the Pennsylvania, measures about 14 808 feet in length and 97 feet wide with ten 14 inch guns and twenty one 4 inch rifles. Construction began in September 1912 and tests are planned with an expected speed of 21 knots by September 1915.
