The original charges were reduced to disorderly conduct and later dismissed for lack of evidence. District Justice Porter Auer acted on advice from an assistant district attorney to drop the case.
Since June 1968 the Oil City Education Association asked the district for federation procedures and negotiations times. The board denied meaningful discussions.
