School Van Targeted Of Vandalism In Erie Area

City police report two vandalism incidents on the last day of school. A van owned by the Greater Erie Community Action Committee serving the Senior Citizens Center on First avenue had its sideview mirrors broken. PennDOT Changes Several Routes in Corry Spartansburg Garland

Richard T. Fox of PennDOT says May changes rerouted Route 720 from Spartansburg to Corry via what was Route 277, which is now eliminated. Route 426 extended from Spring Creek to Route 27 east of Garland, replacing former Route 77 segment. The 77 cutoff suffered steep grades and narrow width between Spartansburg and Spring Creek. New routings appear on the 1977 official Pennsylvania tourist map.
