Corry student urges dialog as Vietnam debate widens
Peter McLaughlin of Corry, Princeton junior, told Kiwanis members last night that a national polarization exists between youths and adults due to protest coverage. He urged local dialogue to dispel media images and argued the war has become LBJ's, with Cambodia expansion as a logical step toward a stable South Vietnam under U.S. influence. He warned that failures like Vietnamization show no lasting constituency and that Indochina could become Communist if the United States and allies fail to reconcile tensions.

City Ordinance Would Force Weed Control
City officials plan a weed control ordinance to curb growth this summer. City engineer David Johnson urged council to pass the measure, noting prior attempts in 1965 and 1968 failed. A housing officer could aid enforcement, with draft legislation to be prepared with city solicitor Douglas Rozelle. The ordinance would allow the city to bill property owners or file liens for weed removal.
