Winnings Paid After 17 Years In NSW Lottery
The first prize of 12 000 dollars in a New South Wales government lottery was finally paid 17 years after it was won to the estate of E. J. Holloway who died in 1964. His relatives said he avoided publicity and begging letters, preferring not to collect. The Lottery Office paid the executors after probate was granted. The Brokenstraw Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented a flag to the Corry YMCA, accepted by Richard Dittman.
