Police cited Alton May 37 of Bear Lake for failure to keep right while making a right turn. His wife’s car struck Richard Steadman’s vehicle in a line of cars waiting at a traffic light on North Center street and East Columbus avenue.
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers votes to accept a new two year labor agreement with Pennsylvania Electric Co. extending to May 25, 1970. The contract includes a 5.19 percent wage rise each year plus higher shift differentials and better vacation medical and sick leave provisions. The company estimates payroll cost increases of about 5.785 and 5.521 percent in each year.
Corry Area High School will be represented at the national convention of the Association of Student Councils for America in Texas this month. George Scoop Sample 16 president of CAHS Student Council attends as District I leader, with CAHS hosting next year's conference in April. The theme Youth in an Era of Conflict features speakers from Peace Corps TIME NASC and Senator Gale McGee.
Robert Bruce, 47, of Natrona Heights, suffered minor injuries when his motorcycle hit a donkey seven miles south of Franklin. The 7-year-old donkey died. The owner is Freeman King of Polk. Bruce was en route to Erie for an archery match.
