The 92nd annual Corry Area High School commence ment will be held in the school auditorium at 8 p m with co salutatorians honored alongside the valedictorian. Speakers include Helene Britten and Martha Houser on No Peoples Are Castoffs and No Life is a Wasteland, Alvaro Machado on No Nation is Alone, and Geoffrey Russell on No Man is an Island.
The Corry Area school board will authorize its Property Committee to seek quotations on air conditioning or air removal systems for the high school auditorium. Estimated cost around 10 000 dollars for air conditioning, cheaper options for air removal. The committee plans to report to the Jointure in July.
In McKeesport Pennsylvania the Rev Pietro Rossi pastor of St Perpetua Church died Sunday at the Vincentian Home Perryville aged 85. He was ordained May 28 1904 in Italy and soon after came to the United States. A Pontifical Requiem High Mass will be celebrated tomorrow for him.

The Corry Area Joint School Committee met to approve resignations and new hires across professional staff and coaching lines. An athletics coach asked to relinquish duties, others resigned for new jobs, and three new assignments were issued. Cowleway School cafe teria manager retired and was replaced by an assistant. A third school nurse was hired. Resignations included a point as Maliy industrial arts teacher and wrestling coach, Mrs. Gladys Bulard Wright School elementary teacher, and Mrs. Janet Robyak Conelway School second grade teacher. Supplemental contracts added two new teachers William Johnson will replace Gerald Litherland.
Corry School Board approved continuing steps to recover back taxes from property owners owing at least 100 dollars for two or more years. Delinquent notices went to 60 owners, but some have ignored them. The five step program begins with civil suits and may end with sheriff sales if needed.
Erie County School Board and 10 districts file in Dauphin County Court against the State Board of Education’s merger plan. Corry Union City Sparta districts object. Sparta seeks exclusion to join Crawford County. Ruling consolidates 43 districts into six units, effective July 1, 1966 unless reversed.
