Several hundred pro Castro students burned the car of U S Ambassador Teodoro Moscoso at Caracas University as he viewed an exhibit. Police stayed off campus. officials blamed known leftist leaders for the attack amid recent campus unrest. Moscoso, Puerto Rican appointee of President Kennedy, condemned the violence and noted it did not reflect Venezuela’s people.
Richard Pitts aged 53 of 530 Concord Street faced three traffic citations after a 3:15 a.m. spree along South Center Street. He allegedly ran red signals at Main Street and South Street, then again on South Center Hill before being stopped on Brook Street. Charges filed with Alderman M. S. Cobbett.
Corry girl Kay M Sorenson, 16, drove an auto on the Corry Beaverdam road and overturned. She was taken to Corry Memorial Hospital, examined, and released with slight head injuries. Police noted about 1800 dollars damage and said the investigation was ongoing. Also reported editor Risken, 67, died in Butte, Montana.

A tractor backfired last night at the Lyle Merry farm on West Columbus Avenue. Firemen from Engine 3 and Emergency Truck with 25 volunteers arrived at 8 15 PM to extinguish a blaze that damaged the barn and tractor, each costing about 100 dollars. James Merry, the farmer's son, went into the barn to start the tractor when it backfired and sent sparks into a hay pile. Units returned to station by 9 PM.

Frank G. Mackn, 41, of RD 2 Corry, struck a cow on Sample Plats road east of Corry shortly after 7 last night. The car was going toward Garry when the animal appeared on the road. Police say the cow died from the collision and the driver was unhurt. The animal was owned by Donald Walters of RD Corry. Damages to the car were estimated at 150 dollars. a boy driving a herd of cows was also suspected.
The Kennedy led effort to let the federal government join as a plaintiff in the Prince Edward County desegregation case was rejected on grounds it unduly prejudices federal rights. Justice Department officials declined comment. Kennedy spoke in New York while state attorneys general met. The county has operated without public schools for years, educating about 1,450 white students in private segregated schools and leaving around 1,700 Black youths without formal schooling.
Centennial week plans advance for a large parade opening the celebration. The route runs from North Center Raymond avenue south on Center street to Pleasance and Pleasant to William street, with a reviewing stand at City Park. Entry forms must be submitted by June 24 at Centennial Headquarters. entry is free but forms are required. Drum corps contest at the high school football field. tickets sold by Centennial Headquarters or American Legion Post 165 Cory. Reserved seats cost extra.
