Farmers May Secure Help At State Bureaus
Farmers facing shortages urged to report to county assistance boards to connect with relief recipients through the Jobs program. A state public assistance spokesman said shortages are common seasonally and that DPA machinery is in place to address them. Able bodied relief recipients may be denied aid by county boards unless they show they cannot find work. Reinstatement certificates allow automatic return to rolls when needed. Farmers may also contact county boards, Pennsylvania employment office attaches, and local public assistance offices for employment help.
