Soviet Delegation and Kosygin Visit Sparks UN Assembly Talk
Soviet officials floated Kosygin's possible New York visit as Arab leaders denounced Western support for the Arabs in the war. Gromyko cited cease fire resolutions while claiming Israel seized more land from Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. A U S Embassy note said no visa request had been made for the trip. The assembly session could draw many heads of state and possibly President Johnson, seen as a distraction from Arab aims.
