Revival services begin Tuesday night in June at 7 40 PM at the Christian and Missionary Alliance church corner East Washington street and Maple avenue Rev and Mrs Paul McDowell of Muncie Indiana lead. The couple, among the denomination s youngest full time evangelists, are sought nationwide. Mr McDowell formerly directed Fort Wayne Bible Institute extension in Fort Wayne Indiana. Mrs McDowell is a noted singer pianist and children's worker. The jubilee is invited.

Worship, sermon on Everyday Religion, 11 AM. Young People Service at 7 30 P M. Evangelistic Service with sermon An Epitaph Without a Gravestone. Vacation Bible School begins Monday at 9 A M for children under 11. Monday 7 30 P M, Men’s Cottage prayer meeting. Tuesday 7 30 P M revival services with Rev McDowell from Muncie Indiana, continuing nightly through June 20 with a ministry blessing. Everyone invited. Also notes a Punkjawatney Chamber of Commerce hosted session opposing parking meters on Main Street, favoring a large free parking lot. Purixsutawney council proceeds with manual meters.
Mayville June 4 Nuss Clement of Westville a 21 year old student asks 15 000 in personal injuries from Ernest Hart Buffalo aircraft worker alleging negligence. Clement states the car left the highway at 60 miles an hour on a right side margin before crossing and crashing. The jury was impaneled with Judge Justin Alonso Midiley presiding.
On Thanksgiving Day 1940 Mead presented the deed of Mead Park to the City of Corry. May or Hepler accepted the deed for the city with remarks from citizens. The park spans 21 acres at Bear Creek and West Wayne Street, set in pines and hardwoods, intended as an outdoor meeting place with improvements planned by the Mead Park Aviation and backed by a community fundraising drive led by Ex-Mayor Olin Bracken and others.
