CHICAGO AP A University of Chicago psychologist Dr Israel Goldiamond has created a stuttering therapy producing fluency in 30 to 45 minute sessions. In 1967 onward about 54 patients completed the program. many others dropped out after achieving fluency. The $600 method uses a booth echo that delays the speaker while reading aloud to reinforce slower, prolonged speech and exaggerated lip movements.
