One Hundred Thirty Nine Juniors Graduate at Local High
One hundred thirty nine debts completed their Junior High School courses at promotion exercises held at the shi High Building last Evening. The large class will enter the Senior high school at Sophomores in September. The aim of the faulty of the school to make this year's gradua tion program the best of the history of the school was realized in Tuesday evening's exercises, which were carried out with punctuality, precision and completeness which won for Principal Harold Wolfe and his corps of teachers deserved compliments. The program was also considerably above par, with talks by the students and the group eel toys of a very commendable nature. The big school gym was thronged to capacity, relatives and friends with issued tickets. Merle VanCise, president of the Student Council, delivered the address of welcome with an unusually fine presentation. The class history was given by Verone Hill, the farewell by Walter Duncan. Special musical offerings were given by boys and girls of the class as well as the senior high orchestra. Diplomas were presented by Superintendent Ralph S. Dewey who congratulated the class. The girls wore dresses they had made in the home-marking class. the boys wore white shirts and blue hats.

Crack Down on Milk Violators in Western PA
United Press reports Pittsburgh June 12 that violators of the milk control act face prosecution. R L Cochlin, control board representative, warned of a crackdown on distributors in 15 western Pennsylvania counties. He said several hundred could face court action and spoke to a meeting that elected an area enforcement committee led by Joseph Inter and A W Pettibon. The new mil control act, approved by Governor Earle, gives the committee power to prosecute violators.

Motorcyclist Killed in Washington Collision

Enrollment Set for Pennsylvania CCC Camps This Summer
Robert L Johnson announced enrollment will begin June 15 with 29 254 youths aged 18 to 28 in Pennsylvania CCC camps. The statewide quota rises to 44 940 by August end, with many Corry youths expected to enroll. Eligible applicants must be on public relief and name a dependent beneficiary for a 25 monthly allotment. Harrisburg June 12 The labor and industry committee of the state senate voted to raise weekly workers compensation payments from 1 to 1.50. An amendment moves the increase into the Batchelor Bill as a substitute for the Administration’s plan which would set a 12 minimum and 25 maximum weekly payment. The committee also voted a Batchelor bill change reducing weekly payment days from a 54 day week per a Supreme Court Romy case ruling.
