Odd Fellows Memorial and Tragic Finding Near Columbus
A severely mutilated body was found by track walkers along the Erie railroad east of Columbus between the CM tower and Dewey Crossing at about seven o'clock. The victim wore a tire beret and black curly hair. a tobacco pouch was found with the body. The remains were transported to Bear Lake and the Warren County coroner was notified. Jonathan Lodge I O O F and Laurel Franklin Lodge Rebekahs held annual memorial services in lodge rooms Sunday, with a program including a duet, invocation, address, quartet, and benediction. Afterward, committees decorated the graves, marking observances for the departed members.
