Pay Pact Emerging Between U S Steel and Steelworkers
In Pittsburgh U S Steel and CIO United Steelworkers move toward a wage settlement that could set the pattern for the national basic steel industry. David J. McDonald called union leaders to Pittsburgh for talks ahead of resumed bargaining with the 36 member executive board and 170 member wage policy committee possibly voting on the agreement. Guesses place pay rises from five to 12 cents an hour for about 600000 workers as discussions near completion.

Survived by husband George Edwards and sister Mrs Patrick Trainor. Funeral by Boyd Jamestown to be held at St Peter and Paul Church with interment Pine Grove Corry.
