Judge Limits Titusville Picketing at Skyline Plant
A Crawford County court issued a five day injunction by Judge P Richard Thomas restricting United Steelworkers Local 6874 picketing at Phil Ups Products Skyline plant. The order bars interfering with entrants, blocking entrances, or following plant vehicles and limits pickets to three at any entrance. The strike began May 19 after the company allegedly offered a three year wage package starting at $1.70 with six cent raises, while union demands and an AA sup wage increase were noted. The union seeks full paid insurance and hospitalization and a five day work week with weekend overtime.
