Polio closes Titusville Scout Camp Saturday
A Titusville area Boy Scout camp near Clarion County was closed as a precaution after Ronald Hefner 11 was diagnosed with polio. About 400 campers, including 25 from Titusville troops, were affected, with plans to reopen for a jamboree shuffle and then a full schedule on June 28. Health officials said there is no risk of wider contamination and the camp area will be fumigated and safety measures observed.

The funeral for Leon A. Tiffany who died suddenly will be Wednesday afternoon at Bracken Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph R. Clair officiating at 4 o clock. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. He was born December 4 1972 in Harford Pa and worked for the Delaware Lackawanna Railroad and later the Postal Telegraph office before retirement. He was active in farming on Spring Creek and died at home after returning from his farm work. He is survived by his wife Susie Kep pel Tiffany, son Keppel, grandson David, brother Lewis Tiffany of Hop Bottom Pa, sister Mrs Liley Sloat of East Orange N J and nephew Roh wid Sloat of East Orange.
