Man Found Dead Near Walley Road Farm After Shooting
June 8 Spartansburg reports a retired farmer Arthur Buck was found dead near his Walley road farm by a helper. Coroner George Middleton ruled death by self inflicted gunshot. Deputy Sheriff Louis Schults and Russell Benson led the investigation as Randolph residents retraced Buck's area. Buck used a shotgun to end his life, the weapon still attached to a branch. Erie Carpenters Strife Over Wages Amid Pay Offer
Erie March 8 carpenters from United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 81 walked out protesting an 18 cent hourly offer from the Erie Construction Council.
