Bowman Swanson were united in marriage this morning at the residence of Rev H Lester Smith of the Delaware Avenue Methodist Episcopal church in Buffalo. They will reside at 119 Maple Ave after June 25 and are highly esteemed in Corry with many friends sending best wishes.
The city moves to open an alley between First and Second avenues across the Messenger property on Main Street provoking a clash with A F Messenger. Messenger protests the valley of his land valued at about 1000 and claims the city action confiscates and damages his property while paving costs may exceed the benefit.
Under the new school code, townships with no high school may send students to the nearest high school for the full session without cost. Corry High School will admit Concord and Wayne students for the entire term, with townships responsible for tuition.

Ashtabula street market opened for the first time on Wednesday attracting a large crowd. In about an hour the market sold out and many customers could not buy. The next market day is set for Saturday with a large supplier expected to attend. Local merchants offered special bargains to early buyers.
A local report details the death of Ay J Boutwell formerly of Mannington West Virginia. A car driven by E B Helghn in California Thomas Whiting’s party collided on a grade embankment. Boutwell died at the hospital. Brigham died at the scene. Services were held by the Knights of Pythias and interment at Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives include Mrs A J Boutwell of West Virginia and kin from Glovers Gap and Mannington. A 70 piece floral memorial from the California Oil Company honored the deceased.
Thiel College professor Warren J. Gilly was stabbed multiple times in the neck and chest by student Luther D. Miller a 21 year old son of a local businessman in Greenville Pa Miller who was in class alone with the professor was restrained by a student body member and sent home under guard Officials say Miller is deranged from overstudy while preparing to complete exams and the campus awaits his recovery
The Corry Baseball Team travels to Union City Saturday to face their city rivals. Fromnecht of Eric is hired to pitch and is expected to trouble Union City hitters. Manni of Water has not announced the next Howe grounds game yet.
A feature comedy titled Poolanena was sent a seedle and a marriage advertisement marks the Tula Comedian at the Princens tonight. The brief notes promote the show with period style and local humor.
